IFC UNHCR Joint Initiative - Colombia - Bancamia

Bancamía and the IFC entered into cooperation to develop tailored financial products and services for Venezuelan refugees and migrants in Colombia. The initiative aims to understand their needs and plans to pilot financial solutions specifically designed for refugees and migrants from Venezuela, covering key cities with high concentrations of this population. The initiative is supported by the Facility for Investment Climate Advisory Services (FIAS) and the Women Entrepreneurs Finance Initiative. The agreement's gender-focused approach ensures that half of the new savings and credit accounts benefit women, promoting their empowerment and entrepreneurship.
